Then there was cake

Brayden couldn't believe that we were giving him a whole cake to eat all by himself. When we sat the cake in front of him he started eating. The funniest thing was eat ate all the red icing off the cake first and then started to eat the rest of the cake. Sometimes I wish I knew what he was thinking and why does he do some of the things he does.

Brayden's 1st Birthday

My baby turned 1! The day finally came that we had put so much time into planning. His theme was construction trucks and Publix made this awesome cake. He was actually really interested in opening his presents well he was atleast until they showed him how to ride his 4 wheeler. Once they showed him that it was all over and we lost him. We were so happy that everyone was able to come and we had so much fun. For those of you that couldn't make it we missed you:) Brayden was good considering we had to wake him up from his nap that day because people started arriving and he was still sleeping. I have more pictures that I will post from his birthday just as soon as I get them but here are a few for now.

Skylars 1st Birthday Party

Skylar Shumake turned 1! Skylar had a big birthday party that Brayden slept through. That Friday when I picked Brayden up from school he was running a 102 fever so I took him to the doctor and he ended up having a double ear infection. So we started antibiotics that night and seemed to be ok the next morning so we got up and started our daily routine. When we were getting ready for Skylars party i realized he felt really warm so I took his temp and it 104! So i called the doctor and they gave me instructions and said it was from the ear infection. So we gave him medicine and the fever went down right away. I knew we couldn't miss the party so we finished getting ready and headed out. When we got there I layed him down and he slept the entire time.

Mothers Day

Well this year was my first Mothers day since last year Brayden wasn't born yet. It was a wonderful day. We didn't really do a whole lot we just really hung out. After going to church we went to my parents house and then to Ryans. So my sister and her family got a new dog and his name is Duke. Brayden wasn't really to sure about him since he is used to big dogs. Duke loved Brayden though.
